Hoofr ("we", "our", or "the app") is a golf trip planning app. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

When you use Hoofr, we may collect the following information:

• Account information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID credentials and, if you choose to share it, your email address and name.
• Profile information: Name, phone number (optional), handicap (optional), and GHIN number (optional) that you provide during profile setup.
• Trip data: Trip details, itinerary items, tee times, lodging information, player rosters, payment records, media, and scoring links that you or your group members create within the app.
• Photos: Lodging photos and media that you upload are stored as part of your trip data.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the app's features
• To share trip information with other members of trips you join
• To sync your data across your devices

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Authentication). Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on Google Cloud infrastructure. Trip data is accessible only to members who have joined that specific trip using its unique code.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your trip data is shared only with other members of trips you join. We use Firebase services provided by Google for data storage and authentication.

Third-Party Services

• Apple Sign In: Used for authentication. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Google Firebase: Used for data storage and authentication. Subject to Firebase's Privacy Policy.
• Open-Meteo: Used to fetch weather forecasts for trip locations. No personal data is sent — only the trip location coordinates.

Your Rights

• Access & edit: You can view and edit your profile information at any time within the app.
• Delete your account: You can delete your account and all associated data from the Profile screen in the app. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
• Data portability: Contact us if you would like a copy of your data.

Children's Privacy

Hoofr is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
